Welcome to Sheroan's Tae Kwon Do Academy. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, our programs, and our dojang (training facility). By accessing this site or enrolling in any class, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or participate in our programs.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using this website or registering for classes, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these terms on behalf of a minor student. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of Services
Sheroan's Tae Kwon Do Academy offers traditional Tae Kwon Do instruction for children, teens, adults, and families. Services include group classes, belt promotion testing, private instruction, and related martial arts programming. Class schedules, instructors, and program offerings may change at the Academy's discretion.
3. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability
Martial arts training is a physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of sprains, strains, fractures, concussions, or other injuries. By participating in any class, free trial, or event at the Academy, you acknowledge that:
- You are in good physical condition and have no medical reason not to participate.
- You assume all risks associated with martial arts training, including those arising from the actions of other students or instructors.
- You release, indemnify, and hold harmless Sheroan's Tae Kwon Do Academy, its instructors, staff, and affiliates from any claims arising from injury, loss, or damage sustained during training or related activities.
- For minor students, the parent or guardian accepts these terms on behalf of the child and assumes responsibility for any resulting claims.
4. Class, Attendance & Payment Policies
- Tuition is billed on a month-to-month basis. Family discounts may apply; contact the Academy for details.
- Belt promotion testing fees are set by rank and are due before test day. Fees are paid at the student's present rank, not the rank being tested for.
- Students must meet rank-specific requirements, including the minimum number of stripes, to be eligible for promotion testing.
- Missed classes may be made up according to the Academy's make-up policy. Refunds are issued at the Academy's discretion.
5. Student Conduct & Dojang Rules
All students and visitors are expected to uphold the Dojang Rules & Regulations, demonstrating courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit both on and off the mat. The Academy reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or contrary to these values.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, curriculum materials, and downloadable forms — is the property of Sheroan's Tae Kwon Do Academy or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use of the downloadable student forms.
7. Accessibility Commitment
Sheroan's Tae Kwon Do Academy is committed to making our website and our dojang accessible to everyone in our community, including individuals with disabilities. We strive to follow recognized accessibility standards, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Our ongoing efforts include:
